Top 5 Favorite Vegetarian Trader Joe’s Items (peanut free too!)

Hey! Welcome to Jenna’s Day.  A place where I, Jenna, talk about whatever I want.

Today’s post has been highly requested! I also know a few people trying to become vegetarian, so I thought this would be helpful. These are my top 5 vegetarian items at Trader Joe’s that you can actually make a meal with (because trust me, there are hundreds of snack items I could list here). I will try to link as many of these as I can so you can at least see what it looks like (update, I can only find a single one of these products online), or, if you don’t have a Trader Joe’s near you (I’ve said this before, but MOVE IMMEDIATELY), you can hopefully buy these there!

P.S. This goes without saying, but keep in mind that everyone’s allergy is different. Always check the packaging and be sure food is safe for you 🙂

P.P.S Sorry I haven’t been posting on here lately! I felt weird posting with everything that’s going on in the world right now. With that being said, I know I like reading posts and watching videos lately to get my mind off of things, so if I can be that for any one of you, then great! 🙂

Sweet Potato Gnocchi

This stuff is amazing. If you love sweet potatoes, this is the perfect meal for you. It comes with butter and sage on it, but you can always add your own sauce. I love that this is an easy stovetop meal that is ready in a few minutes, and it’s perfect for vegetarians!

I highly suggest you check this out and have it stocked in your freezer for a night where you just don’t feel like cooking. If you are looking for a vegan option,  I heard the cauliflower gnocchi is a great choice too (currently planning to try this soon!).

Soyrizo

Ahhh, soyrizo, a soy chorizo, if you will. I’ve never had actual chorizo, so I cannot say it tastes like the real thing, but the taste is just incredible. I love adding this to my egg scrambles in the morning and cooking it all up together. It comes in casing (just like real meat, lol) and I use about half of it per meal and save the rest in a baggie for later. I want to try this in tofu scramble next as a vegan option!

Nate found a great vegan tofu scramble recipe on YouTube and I will link it here – can’t wait to try soyrizo with that!

Vegetarian Chili

We usually don’t buy this in our house because making homemade chili is easy enough; however, this is easily the best chili I have ever had from a can. I can heat this up in the microwave or on the stovetop super quick and have a great meal. I love this stuff, and bonus points: it’s super cheap too!

Meatless Meatballs (but Gardein meatballs are good too!)

These meatless meatballs are a perfect addition to any pasta dish. I love the seasoning and texture of these. These are super easy to cook on the stovetop with sauce. Definitely an item I always try to have stocked in my freezer as a quick add in for an easy dinner.

I love the Gardein brand of meatless meatballs as well, and Nate and I have tried many, many brands of meatless meatballs in subs, pasta, and more looking for the perfect one. While both TJ’s and Gardein are top-notch, Trader Joe’s brand ones are a close but solid winner in my book.

Sriracha Tofu

This is a new favorite for me. I love using this in stir fry! The tofu comes seasoned with sriracha on it and is already baked. I usually just throw it in the oven to make it even more crispy. I am pretty sensitive to spicy foods, and this is just the right amount for me (Nate, on the other hand, loves to add more sriracha). Good kick and less prep time!

And that’s it: my top 5 vegetarian items from Trader Joe’s. I hope this was helpful for some of you. Leave me a comment down below if you have tried any of these, or tried others that I need to get! The more TJ’s, the merrier.

Be sure you subscribe using your email to the right (or below this if you’re reading this on a phone) to get notified when I upload a new post! Thanks for clicking on Jenna’s Day  😊
